The
Purple Patch 1 (2006)
mixed media, oil, natural horse hair
92cm x 122cm
These paintings directly describe the wonderful
feeling of being in a moment when everything is perfect therefore
purple. This well-know phrase could be used to communicate the joy
of a horse when grazing on clover. This is a special treat for some
horses and is a moment in time when things are just right. But ultimately
too much clover can be a bad thing and this moment therefore can
quickly revert back to normal existence striving for the elusive
goals that are always just beyond reach. The purple patch is a place
of gentle relaxation and of life being exactly as it should be but
rarely ever is.
This original painting is also available
to purchase online as a high quality limited edition print.
