November
Training (2005)
oil on canvas
76cm x 85cm
This painting is about the famous race horse
“Best Mate”. The triple Cheltenham Gold Cup Winner who
died suddenly on the brink of a spectacular career.
The eyes and ears are alive after a morning’s
work out. The sense of energy that flows from the huge nostrils
is like a locomotive in full steam which illustrates the enormous
lungs and powers that this race horse possessed.
The horse is so proud and full of life. His
eye is alert and bright with the adrenaline still pumping into his
system. You can hear the breathing and smell the sweat.
This original painting is also available
to purchase online as a high quality limited edition print.
