Caro Ward is a visual artist who’s work is
gaining greater appreciation. Her work consistently brings the horse
to the forefront of the imagination by inspecting the personality
behind the deep sensitive eyes of the animal. Caro`s unique style
communicates to both horse lovers and also non horse lovers helping
them to appreciate the magnitude of the animal in art.
Caro`s connection with the animal has been prevalent throughout
her life and started in early childhood when she was reared on classics
such as Black Beauty, National and International Velvet. Equestrian
sports and riding came next and her natural abilities earned her
British Horse Society qualifications. As her horse skills and the
bond with her own horses grew a competitive and notable career in
the equestrian arena was developed.
The University of Huddersfield Fine Art department helped Caro
harness her artistic skills with her love of horses. Her degree
was inspired and motivated by her desire to capture what it feels
like to be a horse and portray this through her work.
Caro uses her outstanding ability and skills together with her
true love and understanding of horses to produce individual pieces
of commissioned artwork. Her work has brought joy to many horse
owners portraying their beloved animal in a very personal and unique
way.
